Classically-trained flautists Rebecca Nelson and Erica von Kleist first crossed paths in 2012. Their musical connection and sonorities were immediate, thus leading them to pair up and form the Lupine Duo. Drawing from the repertoire of Bach, Brahms, Teleman, and Andersen, the duo performs traditional classical flute pieces. Their beautiful melodies carry throughout the room, captivating all who listen. The Lupine Duo has performed at several local venues, mainly for weddings private parties. Rebecca and Erica draw from an extensive list of popular classical pieces, and can taylor their selections to any event.
A graduate of Fine Arts from the University of Montana, Rebecca Nelson has established herself in the Flathead Valley as one of the most deft musicians, performing on flute with the Glacier Symphony and on sax with the funk band 20 Grand and the Barrel Stove Jazz Trio.
Originally from Connecticut, Erica von Kleist pursued her musical passion at the Juilliard School, graduating in 2004. Now a resident of Montana, Erica teaches flute lessons and performs on both sax and flute in the jazz duo Donny & Kleist and the trio Gringos del Sol.
